Old English Mastiffs
Old English Mastiffs are well-known as "the gentle giants". They are loving animals to both children and other animals. The colors include fawn, apricot and brindle and all exhibit a black mask. Mastiffs can weigh anywhere from 125 lbs. to over 200 lbs. The males are usually about 50 lbs. heavier than the females. They are loving breed and do not require a large amount of exercise. Although most prefer the inside house for living quarters, a mastiff is able to adjust to outside environments. Most enjoy and must be socialized with all types of sounds and people. They are very protective of their families and intimidate those around by their size and loud bark. A typical mastiff can live approximately 7- 13 years.
